How has life been since you started school at PSB Academy?
I’ve been a PSB’s student for almost 3 years and these times have contributed one of the most memorable memories in my life and my youth. We are given diversified opportunities to study in professional environment with modern technologies, participate in clubs or culture exchange, extend relationships with foreign friends such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Chinese, etc. And one of honourable experience worthy mentioned is that becoming a president of Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) bringing me lots of precious memories and experience, which I don’t think I can make it at anywhere.
What made you further your studies with a private education institution?
The most reasonable consideration not myself but others may refer is that private school usually takes shorter time to complete a bachelor or a diploma program. Some might not have enough time to wait for 4-5 years to graduate. Private education often creates a comfortable environment with not that difficult and stressed program for students to study or complete. For me, rather focusing only on studying, it’s quite important to make a door for outdoor activities, extend connections which definitely give you a lot of valuable experience in your youth.
What made you choose your course of study/ discipline?
Finance no doubt is considered as one of a few popular major that helps you easily to get job after your graduation. For someone who has been fond of business investing like me since I was young, finance supports me to have a big picture of how business works in general and how flexible it can be.
In what ways has your education at PSB added value to your personal development and career opportunities? How has it built your character?
I have always found the lectures PSB provided are worthy for me sitting for long hours in class. Besides studying material or lecture-related thingy, teachers always relate to reality experience for students to have a better visual. Not everyone is a businessman and you can’t expect every student to understand and get things easily after one or a few of lessons based only on theories.
How accessible and approachable were the educators?
It is not an exaggeration when promoting that PSB’s teachers are all friendly, approachable and enthusiastic. They help a lot, not limit within studying but also giving reality advises. We were only teenagers when we have started in PSB, therefore not experiencing or meeting with difficulty is understandable. They support us in various way of becoming better.
Any tips / words of wisdom/ inspiration for prospective students / other students?
The most an inspirational quote of my life from Steven Job is “You only live once. Don’t waste your time to live as another’s life”. What I’m trying to say is, be yourself, do whatever that makes you comfortable, make you confidently. Your life, your choice. You were not born to become others’ expectation. People nowadays easily throw around words “unsuccessful”, “flop” easily. There are real people with real dreams. Why not everyone can be a success story.
How did the school counsellors/ student affairs team work with you to achieve your professional goals?
They help me in various way and always try their best, especially in social skill. Getting a job doesn’t always mean high grade or high GPA’ achievement, you need skill to adopt the variable environment including extending relationship and how you should behave within a group.
What do you hope to see more of from the school and/or its current/ prospective students?
PSB Academy is on their right track supporting students to be educated in a good environment
What was most memorable about your time at PSB Academy?
It's all about when I’m being a VSA’s president and a member of Student Affair 2017. It does bring memories and valuable experience, to be friends with others, to get a wide knowledge of different cultures/
What are your career aspirations now? How/ What will you use what you have learnt in your course of study when you graduate?
As a finance-major student, I am expecting to apply any positions in a bank or being a part of finance department in any companies. The journey of 3 years has brought at least a picture of how finance in general does look like, what I’m supposed to do
