UK97 MSc Automotive Engineering University of Huddersfield
Automotive engineering is generally at the forefront of development. The concept of a driverless vehicle is now a reality and it is only public confidence and an adequate infrastructure that prevents it being introduced within the public domain. Although an exciting topic, globally it is a highly competitive industry where engineers require a sound understanding of engineering principles.
This advanced course is designed to satisfy the needs of graduate mechanical engineers, or graduates with an appropriate scientific background, who wish to redirect their careers towards automotive engineering and automotive system design. In doing so we focus engineering science competence towards its application within the automotive arena and provide detailed knowledge of the operational needs of a land vehicle.
The main aims of the course are to:
Previous graduates from courses in this subject area have gone on to work in a variety of roles such as program quality engineer, mechanical design engineer, research engineer and vehicle durability engineer in organisations including Faurecia, Applied Photonics Ltd, Jaguar Land Rover and Millbrook Proving Ground Ltd.**
* Percentage of our postgraduate students go on to work and/or further study within fifteen months of graduating (HESA Graduate Outcomes 2017/18, UK domiciled graduates).
