This combined honours course will give you the practical language skills while also developing your understanding of the social and cultural environment in which it is spoken. You’ll also study units ranging from consultancy to enterprise, helping you find your calling in international business.

Business
This degree includes everything you could want from a business degree, from expertise in our research areas of sustainability, strategy, and enterprise to events like our leadership series of guest lectures.

Minor languages available
French, Spanish, Modern Standard Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Italian (2021 entry only).

Placement options

All of our Business courses offer four-year placement and exchange routes, where you have the opportunity to spend your third year on industrial placement or studying overseas, after which you will return to study for your final year. You can make a decision on whether to follow this route at the end of your first year of study. 

Studying a combined honours degree gives you the opportunity to improve your employability by developing skills and knowledge in two subjects.

Language skills can be applied in a wide variety of careers, from teaching and translating/interpreting to business and management, finance, charity and community work.

Our Business graduates have gone on to a huge variety of roles in organisations ranging from small local start-ups to large firms like O2, KP Snacks, or BNY Mellon. Many decide to join graduate schemes with companies like IBM or BMW. And thanks to the global focus of the course, your skills will be relevant anywhere in the world.
