You will learn the key principles and doctrines underlying English, European and International law and develop an understanding of its social, political, historical and comparative contexts. Practical experience could be developed by participating in mooting (practising oral arguments), client interviewing, and volunteering (subject to a selection process) as a Community Legal Companion as part of our innovative CLOCK programme, or in our Divorce or Commercial Law Legal Advice Clinics.

This degree will provide students with the knowledge and current professional exemptions needed to train to become a solicitor or barrister. It will also prepare you for a wide range of other career opportunities including the police, probation, prison, the courts services, community safety, human rights, transnational law, social work or the civil service.
