On this course you will explore the beauty, elegance and practicality of pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. You will learn how to apply maths for a range of purposes which may include developing precise and logical arguments, constructing rigorous proofs, and formulating solutions to new problems. The programme covers core material as well as allowing you explore a range of specialisms which might include pure or applied mathematics, or probability and modelling, which are particularly relevant to psychology. The programme makes the transition from A Level to university Mathematics as smooth as possible with a carefully designed first year curriculum and multi-layered student support structure.

The Psychology modules on this course are accredited by the British Psychological Society, a necessary first step for many professional careers in psychology, such as clinical, counselling, educational, forensic, occupational or sports psychology, and a prerequisite to becoming a Chartered Psychologist.
