This highly interdisciplinary course will enable you to explore contemporary societal issues such as health and migration from political, economic, social and cultural perspectives. This will fit well with exploring the concepts and debates within our business modules, adding depth to subjects such as leadership, change management, strategy and business processes.
The Geography element of the course at Keele allows you to focus specifically on your preferred area of human geography, or to explore Geography as an integrated discipline concerned with people and their environment. Our focus on climate change, global responsibility, sustainability, and the application of professional geographical skills to real-world situations will prepare you for a wide range of careers and for life as a responsible global citizen.
As a geographer, you'll develop a wide range of transferable and subject specific skills, that are highly valued by employers. Your interdisciplinary perspectives, problem-solving skills and the ability to research, evaluate and synthesise information from diverse sources are relevant to a broad range of careers, including those in transport and planning and the environmental and retail sectors. They also provide an ideal training for postgraduate study and research.
Business at Keele will prepare you for a wide choice of careers. You might choose to work in a field directly related to finance or to work as a management consultant or follow a career in sales or marketing. You could also use your newly acquired transferable skills to do something different such as working in insurance, IT, journalism, statistics or the Civil Service. This degree will also equip you to undertake postgraduate studies.
