As a student Paramedic, this course aims to prepare you to face the challenges that come with providing emergency and urgent care to an ageing and diverse population in the pre-hospital and out-of-hospital environment. It is designed to enable you to become an effective, evidence-informed paramedic able and confident to deliver potentially life-saving treatment.
This course uses Coventry University’s ‘learning through exploration’ approach which uses simulation and hands-on learning to develop your knowledge and understanding. This includes the use of our replica ambulance, practicing extraction of patients from cars and using high-tech manikins which emulate real patient responses.
Paramedic graduates from Coventry University are much sought after by NHS Ambulance Trusts and the majority of our graduates have secured employment as a Paramedic even before they have completed their course. We work closely with Ambulance Trusts and partners and many of our graduates choose to secure employment with their placement provider.
