Innovation and creativity are increasingly important to devising and delivering effective modern marketing campaigns, as rapid technological advancements have transformed the business landscape.
The BA (Hons) Business and Marketing degree at Lincoln is designed to provide students with a firm grasp of the basic principles of the subject. It encourages them to explore the theoretical and practical context of business and develop a marketing specialism.
Throughout the programme, students have the opportunity to increase their familiarity with the international business environment, identify marketing opportunities, and develop an understanding of how to overcome the challenges of reaching mass and niche audiences.
Students who successfully complete their studies with a year of work placement will receive the award title BA (Hons) Business and Marketing (with Work Placement). Those who do not will receive a BA (Hons) Business and Marketing award.
Placements
As part of this course, students can choose to undertake a year of work placement following the second year. They are expected to source their own paid placement, and tutors can provide support during the process if required. No tuition fees will be due for this year, but students will be expected to cover their own travel, accommodation, and general living costs. Students who successfully complete their studies with a year of work placement will receive the award title BA (Hons) Business and Marketing (with Work Placement). Those who do not will receive a BA (Hons) Business and Marketing award.
Students who require a Tier 4 visa to study BA (Hons) Business and Marketing (with Work Placement) will be issued a CAS with a course length that should be sufficient for you to complete the course without the placement year. If you decide to undertake the BA (Hons) Business and Marketing (with Work Placement) and find a work placement as part of the course this will add additional time to your course and a new Tier 4 visa will be required either before or after the work placement to extend your stay in the UK.

Recent Business and Marketing graduates have gone on to work in communications, market research, e-commerce, project management, account management, and creative marketing in the public sector or within in-house or agency marketing roles.
