This course will give you insight, knowledge and understanding of the role politics plays at local, national and global levels. The programme benefits from the national and international expertise and background of the members of the teaching team and our local and international networks, whose expertise and knowledge are embedded within the curriculum.

We offer a research-informed curriculum that provides both the practical tools and the theoretical knowledge to understand a wide range of political issues and respond to the current social, political and economic challenges. Choose from module options within the field of public policy, political analysis and political theory including Environmental Politics, Health Politics, Global Comparative Politics, British Government and Political Thought. The curriculum contains a wide variety of learning and assessment methods designed to suit different student styles and capabilities, and to enhance students’ transferable and professional skills.

This Degree will empower you to apply academic theory to real-life situations. Our lecturers will equip you with the skills sought by employers - you will graduate with well-developed research and communication skills as well as a good knowledge of political issues and institutions.
