Learn about the links between nutrition and health, both on an individual and societal level. Study diet-related diseases, the impact that nutrients can have on the body, and how public health advice is underpinned by clinical evidence. Our curriculum is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN). After graduating, you can apply to become a registered associate nutritionist with the AfN via the direct entry pathway. This is a clear and respected marker of your status as a nutrition professional.
This course is also accredited by the Institute of Food Science & Technology.
All of our courses have been designed in collaboration with food industry partners, many of whom are alumni, making our graduates highly employable. That’s why, in the most recent data, 91% of our employed graduates from the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences were in graduate-level roles within 15 months of graduating.
