UK36 BA (Hons) Human Geography University of Gloucestershire
Geography lies at the centre of many of the world’s most pressing issues – our BA Human Geography course focuses exclusively on the human dimension of the discipline, enabling you to specialise in the socio-geographic challenges of our time. You’ll study topics including population, migration, geopolitics, sustainability, health, ageing, development, conflict, global crime and inequalities. You’ll also develop an extensive range of qualitative, statistical and geographic information systems (GIS) research skills – getting you ready for a career in a vast range of employment sectors.
You’ll join a Geography team that is ranked 4th in the UK by the 2022 Guardian University League Table and 1st for student satisfaction, having scored 100% for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2021.
You’ll progress from UK field training to field research overseas,where you could be exploring development and social justice in South Africa, migration dynamics in Canada, sustainability in Venice or global governance at the UN in Geneva. There is also the opportunity to spend a semester in Year 2 at partner Universities in Canada or the USA.
