    Gartner, Inc. forecasts that 20.4 billion connected things will be in use worldwide by 2020, with the global market projected to reach a value of more than £1 trillion. In time, these appliances will exchange information automatically, co-ordinating what they do without human intervention. The Internet of Things is a key enabling technology for broader paradigm shifts in areas such as smart cities, smart health, automotives, industry 4.0 and circular economies.

    This course will help you to become just such a professional. An IoT skills gap has been identified, particularly in relation to programming, data management/ visualisation, and security. This course will produce professionals with strong technical, creative, and intellectual skills to meet the need of the computing industry as it expands into ubiquitous networked devices.
