This course equips you with the skills required to help you break into the fast-paced, diverse world of fashion promotion. We help you to gain exposure to the industry during your study through industry-mentored projects and opportunities for work experience.

Throughout the course, you will work on valuable skills, including:

• communication in fashion
• PR communications
• global awareness

You will start your course with practical digital and technical workshops that introduce you to our advanced facilities for photography, printmaking, imaging and research. You will also learn the theoretical and conceptual skills that will support you as you develop your specialism.

As you progress on your fashion promotion course, you will start to specialise in an area most relevant to your career. Workshops designed to build your professional skills will help you to hone your unique communication style. We also arrange trips to enhance your learning experience.

You can also choose to take a placement or work freelance, developing enterprise skills.  This gives you the chance to experience the type of demands you would deal with in a work situation, and to get feedback from industry employers. You could also take advantage of opportunities to work on promotions at the University and for external events.

In the final stages of your course, you will develop your individual style further. You will be working towards your final project, which you will present as a portfolio or exhibition to an audience that includes industry experts.

Once you graduate, you could go on to work as a: 

• fashion stylist 
• fashion PR officer or manager 
• fashion event planner 
• fashion photographer 
• fashion blogger or journalist
