Your BA Education Studies will cover the social, economic, cultural and psychological factors that influence the education system. As you improve your understanding of these factors and how they affect people who work and learn within the system, you will be better equipped to initiate positive change.

In addition to giving you a comprehensive understanding of the field of education, the course examines how teaching and learning practices play out in real-world settings. You will cover a range of crucial topics, including, but not limited to:

• inclusion, equality and social justice 
• international and comparative education
• early years education policy
• language development
• leadership and management.

Work experience is integral to the course, giving you crucial hands-on experience and extending your knowledge of the education system in practice. The skills you gain from this experience will enhance your employability after graduation. 

In the final stages of your course, you will work on a dissertation. This is your chance to consolidate what you have learned by using your critical research and analysis skills to complete an independent piece of work on a relevant topic.
