This degree aims to enable students to specialise in subjects related to international business law, equipping them with comprehensive knowledge of the legal processes governing international business, through the systematic and critical understanding of topics relevant to international business transactions such as trade law, international sale of goods and commercial arbitration.

Among them are Dr Lijun Zhao who specialises on international trade and maritime law; Mariette Jones whose research and teaching focuses on company law and corporate governance; and Dr Nadia Bernaz, as our expert in business and human rights law.

This programme prepares students for a wide range of careers in public and private sector organisations, multinational companies and inter-governmental bodies requiring specialist knowledge in private and public international law frameworks regulating commercial and trade transactions, as well as mechanisms involved in the resolution of commercial disputes. Previous graduates have also continued their higher education studies via a PhD.

As well as access to the University's Employability Service students are offered specialist advice by the Programme Leader and other contributors to the programme, including guidance on how to enter and pass recruitment processes for national and international organisations.
