NZ03 Master of Planning Lincoln University
Lincoln University's Master of Planning is a 240-credit taught Master’s in professional planning that requires two years study. The degree is designed to meet the requirements of the New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI) and consequently has an emphasis on the New Zealand planning context. However, graduates are eligible for Graduate Membership of the NZPI, which has advantages if seeking employment in the UK, Ireland and Australia, as well as New Zealand.
This Master's degree covers urban, regional resource and environmental planning. Additionally, the degree provides flexibility to specialise in water, landscape, energy, transport, resilience, international development or indigenous and Maori planning through specified and optional electives.
Students who have completed geography, political science, English, sociology, anthropology, law, architecture, environmental management or environmental science degrees will transition relatively easily into the this degree, however graduates with a good command of written English generally should be able to readily adapt to the demands of the degree.
A relevant degree with at least a B grade average in the 300 level and final year (full-time equivalent) courses
