AU49 Graduate Diploma in International Hotel Management International College of Hotel Management (ICHM)
Following on from the four core subjects in the Graduate Certificate; the Graduate Diploma In International Hotel Management is comprised of three core subjects plus one elective.
Building on the foundation from Semester 1; students critically evaluate the role of revenue management and strategic pricing in overall hotel business performance. They also examine and connect fundamental human resource management tools, linking them to the businesses strategy and workforce design requirements. Students will also be required to consider long term strategic decision processes and strategy formulation, and how it applies to businesses in an international context.
The Graduate Diploma in International Hotel Management is is designed to provide opportunities for participants to develop advanced knowledge, skills and understanding to undertake lower to middle level management positions in international hotels. Whilst the course focus in on international hotels, it also equips participants with knowledge and skills to undertake their career paths in other areas of the international tourism and hospitality industry. Domestic students can undertake the course part-time.
The six-month Graduate Certificate in International Hotel Management contributes 4 of the core subjects and is embedded within the twelve-month Graduate Diploma in International Hotel Management. The twelve-month Graduate Diploma is nested within the two-year Master of International Hotel Management.
