  • THÔNG TIN CHUNG

Effective human resource management assists businesses and organisations to adapt and thrive in environments of rapid economic, sociological and technological change. The main focus of this discipline is to balance organisational and employee needs to meet every legal and social responsibility.

This degree combines both practical and theoretical components so that students gain a holistic appreciation and understanding of the business environment, along with insights into aspects of psychology, political science, cultural studies and sociology.

Our degree program covers all the subjects that are pertinent to human resource management, including Employment Law, Change Management and Human Resource Development. In addition, you will study foundation business courses including Economics, Finance, Business Information Technology and the Principles of Marketing, which will give you knowledge and understanding of how businesses function. You’ll be an equal partner at the management table, ensuring the best outcomes for employers and employees.

The Bachelor of Behavioural Science is based on the premise of social justice and equity for all people.  It concerns itself with the practical application of such principles to all aspects of human interaction.  A Behavioural Scientist values human diversity and works collaboratively with communities to identify and advance the goals of the group and the individuals who comprise it.  Behavioural Science promotes the concept of wellbeing and aims to facilitate this at the individual, relational and community levels. Your knowledge and skills in business and HRM will combine well with this people-centred focus.

As part of your double degree, you will undertake a Behavioural Science internship of at least 90 hours. This course provides valuable on-the-job experience, interaction with professional practitioners and a network of contacts. You will be able to apply your knowledge and skills, and to learn a whole lot more, in a professional workplace. The Bachelor of Human Resource Management is accredited by the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI), thus this Bachelor's program will give you the start you need, whether you choose to work in the public or private sector.
