Take your undergraduate achievements to the next level with an honours degree in Industrial and Applied Mathematics.

This degree is ideal if you are preparing yourself for postgraduate research, or if you are planning to work in environmental modelling, defence research, or statistical analysis and optimisation. This one-year degree is for students who have completed a bachelor degree in mathematics or an equivalent qualification with a high level of academic achievement in their undergraduate studies.

What you'll learn

You will undertake advanced study and research in applied mathematics, statistics and optimisation. You will also do a research or study project in one of the following areas: applied mathematics, pure mathematics, statistics or optimisation. This work will be supervised by a mathematician or statistician.

With an honours degree in applied science you will be ideally qualified to proceed to postgraduate degrees by coursework or research. You could consider continuing with a PhD to further your knowledge and research skills. As a graduate, you could also consider a career in:
