The healthcare landscape is changing and challenging the way we currently educate the workforce. The population is living longer with complex and chronic conditions, and many people have increasing expectations of technology. The traditional, siloed approach to healthcare is becoming increasingly ineffective and inefficient in meeting patients’ needs and desires to live independently in the community.

The program is designed for doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, health administrators, academics, and health journalists who want to problem solve healthcare challenges within their local or larger health systems.  During this program, you will use design thinking, problem-solving, and systems thinking to challenge your perspective of the health system so that you can apply the evidence to bring about systematic improvements. This will enable you to influence and translate information and technology, to bring about positive system change to meet the healthcare needs of the 21st century. The Master of Healthcare Innovations will provide graduates with the skills to identify opportunities for evidence-informed innovations. 

Entry into the Master of Healthcare Innovations requires the following:

• A minimum Bachelor level degree in Health or a related program with a minimum GPA of 1/4 (equivalent to 4/7), or
• A minimum Bachelor level degree in a non-health related area with a minimum GPA of 1/4 (equivalent to 4/7) plus 3 years relevant work experience.
