This cutting edge program has been designed in strong collaboration with industry to assist construction and other built environment professionals to upskill in order to comply with the stringent practice requirements being demanded by government and knowledgeable private sector clients regarding the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Lean Construction Practice (Lean) and Integrated Project delivery (IPD) in optimised construction project delivery. The course is the equivalent of forty post graduate credit points. To meet the requirements of industry professionals, the program is delivered by a series of micro-credentialed modules, each comprising a two day learning intensive and a one day learning intensive, and has the objective of preparing industry professionals to be better qualified to work in their professions as BIM, Lean and/or IPD managers, rather than as specialist IT specialist technicians for the niche areas of the technologies covered by the curriculum. The program components have been designed to align with the BIM Framework of building SMART Australasia, the open standards of building SMART International, the principles espoused by the Lean Construction Institutes of Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, and internationally recognised principles of IPD. This program will provide students with an opportunity to gain and comprehend the knowledge necessary to contribute within their professional areas as BIM/Lean/IPD qualified team members and leaders.

Completion of an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7 Bachelor degree in a field cognate to the proposed degree.
