This program is designed to extend and supplement the relevant knowledge of exercise science and sport science / human movement graduates. A thorough knowledge of health sciences is integrated with the practical ability to develop and manage exercise programs for the prevention, treatment and ongoing management of injuries, chronic disease and complex conditions. Clinical knowledge, skills and experience if further applied to the completion of a research thesis or project.

 This is a postgraduate program, you are required to complete an undergraduate program in a related field prior to undertaking postgraduate study.

Work based training is a mandatory component of this Masters. This program is CRICOS registered with work based training of 360 hours.

Currently the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology is undergoing reaccreditation with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA).

Following accreditation in 2019 graduates of the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology will be eligible to become fully accredited exercise physiologists with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). This is the highest level of accreditation available in Australia for Exercise Physiologists.

ESSA has full membership with the Health Professions Council of Australia and is an active member of nation-wide organisations such as the National Allied Health Case-Mix Committee (NAHCC) and the National Fitness Accreditation Council (AFAC). ESSA also has an affiliation with Sports Medicine Australia (SMA). International professional associations include the International Congress of Sport and Physical Education (ICSPE), the American Society of Exercise Physiologists, Ontario Kinesiology Association, Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences.
