La Trobe's Master of Clinical Neuropsychology degree provides advanced, world-class training that will qualify you to be skilled and effective clinical neuropsychologists, competent to assess and treat adults and children with conditions affecting the brain. The opportunity to upgrade to a combined Master of Clinical Neuropsychology/PhD program is available for local applicants after successful completion of the first year of the Master of Clinical Neuropsychology at La Trobe University.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Once you graduate, you can be employed as a psychologist in a wide variety of positions, including many key roles in the health and government sectors, community organisations, research institutions and industry. Clinical neuropsychologists who have graduated from the School of Psychology and Public Health's programs work as clinicians and case managers, researchers, specialist consultants and advisers, among other roles.
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
The Master of Clinical Neuropsychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC).
Graduates of the Master of Clinical Neuropsychology may be eligible to apply for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) as a psychologist. Specialist endorsement as a clinical neuropsychologist with the PsyBA is subject to additional registrar requirements beyond completion of the degree. Graduates of the Master of Clinical Neuropsychology may apply for membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and the APS College of Clinical Neuropsychologists. Membership may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional bodies for details.
