Why study the Bachelor of Animal Science with UNE?
UNE's four-year Bachelor of Animal Science will equip you with the fundamentals underpinning animal science including animal nutrition, physiology, genetics and human-animal interactions, then allow you to specialise in livestock production, or wildlife management. You'll explore your chosen major in depth with an extensive range of units to hone your specific focus.
The Livestock Production major enables you to focus on sheep and wool science, animal health and nutrition, animal genetics, intensive animal production and consulting and advisory services. The Wildlife Management major is designed for students interested in the management and conservation of wildlife, and the management of feral animals. You will gain an understanding of the ecological basis for the stable, threatened and nuisance status of animal species together with theoretical and practical skills in animal nutrition, reproduction, genetics and animal breeding, and health and welfare.
