AU05 Bachelor of Science (Spatial Science) Charles Sturt University (NSW campus)
Which of the world's problems would you like to solve? The Bachelor of Science from Charles Sturt University prepares you for a rewarding career helping to advance Australian and international scientific knowledge and develop solutions to some of the complex problems facing society.
Have you ever wondered how Google maps are developed, or how your GPS knows how to get you to your destination? Careers in spatial science involve managing, analysing and displaying information about Earth, including its natural features and built environment. If you’re fascinated by the physical fabric of Earth – its contours, slopes, heights, depths, rivers, oceans, cities and mountains – consider a career in spatial science. As a spatial scientist, your career could include surveying, geographic information systems, hydrography and cartography. Your role could also provide vital assistance, like helping emergency services take the quickest route to the right location. The latest technology out in the field, such as remote sensors attached to aircraft and satellites, will be key tools of your trade in an industry that changes as fast as the world around it.
