This course gives you the opportunity to experience strategic professional level exposure within both accounting and the strategic business management of organisations. The programme can prepare you for a career within industry or practice and allow you to progress through the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) professional pathway to becoming a certified accountant, on successful completion of the ACCA professional exams. On completion of the course, you’ll be in a position to consider professional opportunities in accountancy, auditing, business consultancy and graduate management programmes.

This programme enables you to delve into the world of an accounting professional, at the same time as learning the theory behind the practical approaches of accounting and business management. You’ll be able to obtain and develop critical skills required by accounting professionals and gain an extended view of business and management decisions used to help foster healthy business organisations.

The Research Methods module not only helps develop and enhance your research skills, but also to prepare you for your dissertation. Alongside that, you can gain experience of self-reflection and career development through the Knowing and Developing Yourself for Professional Successmodule. As well as that, you’ll have opportunities to develop advanced accounting skills through the Strategic Corporate Reporting and Advanced Business Strategy and Leadershipmodules, before progressing onto Advanced Taxation and Advanced Audit and Assurance modules.  

This course is delivered in a similar way to the ACCA professional modules, with all of the modules underpinned with Business Ethics and Compliance, helping to ensure your knowledge is reinforced by a strong professional ethical understanding.
