At Sussex, you learn from experts working at the forefront of Physics, from developing next generation quantum technology devices, to the ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. This means you’ll study modules based on the latest research, from quantum mechanics to particle physics. You’ll also explore the fundamental laws of Physics.
You’ll have opportunities to work alongside our world-leading faculty on ground-breaking discoveries. This is through your final year project and various research placement opportunities. There is also the chance to apply for a year working in industry. You can choose from a range of companies and we have links with employers through the South East Physics Network (SEPnet). During your integrated Masters year you develop advanced skills through working with one of our departmental research groups.
You’ll be part of a close community – our lively Physics Society arranges regular social events. Our building is a real hub of activity. You’ll have all your practical sessions in our modern teaching laboratories. Outside the classroom, you can study or catch up with your friends in our popular student spaces.
