The Special Educational Needs (SEN) pathway enables you to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of working with children with disabilities. Your learning will be applicable to both mainstream and special school settings.
Normally a good undergraduate honours degree (2:1 or above), or equivalent from a university outside the UK, in a subject that is related to the subject you intend to teach. Additionally, grade C (or 4) in GCSE maths and English (plus science for Primary trainees). You will also need to undertake a criminal record and occupational health check.
