The Master of Media Practice focuses on content production in the dynamic and increasingly global field of media and communications. Areas of study include broadcast and online journalism, media liaison, writing for media, social media communication, feature writing, ethical and legal issues, and international media practice.

This course will broaden your written and spoken communication skills as well as your production skills in print, broadcast and online media. You will also develop a sophisticated understanding of media industries, audiences and global media environments.

Our elective internship unit offers the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. 

Choose from a range of media‑related elective units of study to best reflect your individual skills and interests, such as financial journalism, health, United States politics and cyberworlds.

The graduate diploma and graduate certificate courses provide shorter avenues to update and extend your professional skills or explore new career directions.

This course provides opportunities in all areas of journalism, particularly content production for print, radio, television, online and convergent media. Graduates have established careers in prominent national and international media organisations.
