Through the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics), you will develop the skills and acquire the knowledge essential for specialisation in orthodontics through a comprehensive curriculum of theoretical and clinical studies. This course is primarily clinically based with theoretical sessions, complemented by a research component.
You will learn treatment options for a wide variety of patients with different malocclusions and age groups using full fixed appliances, orthopaedic appliances, temporary anchorage devices, surgical modalities as well as aesthetic applications (Invisalign and lingual techniques). As a capstone to your studies, you will complete a research project in the field of orthodontics under the supervision of an academic staff member.
