The Bachelor of Environmental Systems (Honours) comprehensively examines both natural and agricultural systems. How we manage our environment and natural resources will arguably determine Australia's economic future, and ensuring ecologically-sustainable production is one of the greatest challenges facing our society.
You will explore the ways that we might respond to these challenges, and as a graduate you will meet the national and international demand for well-trained Environmental Scientists with strong quantitative skills and a thorough understanding of the physical, chemical and biological interactions in the environment.
The Bachelor of Environmental Systems (Honours) allows you to pursue you own research project focusing on the application of systems-thinking to the issues of the day such as climate change, water, food security and carbon emissions.
This one-year honours degree is available to both current students of the Bachelor of Environmental Systems.
To qualify for admission to the Bachelor of Environmental Systems (Honours), you must: 1) have qualified for or be a graduate with a relevant pass degree from the Faculty of Science or hold an equivalent qualification from another institution; 2) have achieved a Year 2/3 Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 65 (or the equivalent), For those candidates entering from another institution to be determined by the Degree Coordinator.
