    Learn about safety in today’s business environment, and how to manage workplace safety with a systematic and strategic approach.

    You will develop leadership and management abilities, and learn critical analysis, problem solving, communication, and change management. You will also learn to identify and implement solutions to complex safety issues, such as high risk activities and psycho-social risks. The skills you develop are transferrable across all industries.

    For assessment and workplace project purposes, we strongly recommended students be either employed or have access to a workplace.

    Please note that this qualification is offered online only. It is not available to international students studying in Australia under a student visa. International students may study online from their home country.

    What you'll learn

    You will develop a foundation in organisational safety issues so that you will be able to:

    • review complex safety issues to improve workplace safety
    • critically evaluate the social and economic environment of an organisation
    • source and evaluate information to justify safety interventions
    • initiate change to meet complex organisational requirements
    • appraise complex risk factors and formulate control measures
    • consult, and communicate organisational safety requirements to a range of audiences

    If you are studying part-time, we recommend you complete the four courses offered in the Graduate Certificate in Human Factors and Organisational Safety first.
