The Master of Laws (LLM) #16 is designed to enhance the theoretical and practical expertise of students and provide them with a professional edge. Students will improve their independent and critical thinking and research skills. The courses offered are predominantly driven by the needs of contemporary legal practice. They include courses in highly specialized areas as well as more general areas where the principles underpinning that area are complex and require a depth of understanding.

Approved Honours or Masters degree leading to admission to legal practice (LLB, JD or equivalent) with a GPA of at least 4; or degree in law leading to admission to legal practice (LLB or equivalent) with a GPA of at least 4, & either hold a GDip in legal practice or equivalent qualification, or have at least 2 years professional full-time work experience in the same discipline; or academic or professional qualification in law & be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Exec Dean that you have the requisite knowledge and experience to complete the program.
