The Graduate Diploma allows students to study foundation courses in microeconomics and macroeconomics and extends those fundamentals. The program assumes no prior knowledge or training in economics. Further core courses also introduce students to important concepts for the study of economics such as mathematical techniques and statistics. Graduates of this program will have the option to advance to one of the School's #32 Masters programs thereby attaining further core economics skills and competencies. Obtaining a higher qualification in economics is a career investment. To enrol in the program, a person must hold -

• the graduate certificate in economic studies from this university with a GPA of 4; or
• a bachelor degree, or equivalent, with a GPA of 4.
