AU26 Graduate Diploma in Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation University of Queensland
The Graduate Diploma in Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation is a one-year, full-time coursework program in interpreting and translation offering a solid grounding in translation and consecutive interpreting. Translation is in one direction only - into students' (native) language, while interpreting is performed in both directions (Japanese to English, English to Japanese).
Approved degree or equivalent in any discipline; or
GCAJI; or
GCAJT; and
Have completed the school's aptitude test in spoken and written Japanese and English to the standard set by the Executive Dean.

Candidates must sit and pass the Aptitude Test set by the School of Languages and Cultures before being admitted to the program. A fee may apply for the Aptitude Test. More information about the aptitude test, and test dates can be found on the School of Languages and Cultures website.
