For a successful future in nutrition or diet, you need an understanding of nutrition sciences to achieve healthy eating outcomes and reduce the burden of diet-related disease.
This major includes studies in biomedical science, biochemistry, nutrition science, behavioural sciences and food sciences, and the political, environmental, commercial and social factors affecting food supply, choices and health. It also covers health systems, public and Indigenous health.
HLTH3001 Practicum in Health Sciences has been developed to provide final year Health Science students with hands-on experience in a health-related work environment. The placement uses the student's accumulated knowledge and skill base and prepares them for future employment within the health care industry.
