As a student in the Writing major, you'll develop a fundamental and substantial understanding of how language works at the level of words, sentences, paragraphs and documents. You'll also learn strategies for designing, structuring, writing, and revising on paper and online. Whether you’re aiming to be a creative or a corporate writer – or simply a better writer – the Writing major will teach you how to produce compelling content for your audience in a variety of fiction and non-fiction forms.

The Bachelor of Arts provides you with a well-rounded education, the ability to think and analyse, to write effectively, and the specialist knowledge gained in your major. As a result, a BA opens up a range of career opportunities including but not limited to:
