Interested in the political, institutional, economic, social and ideological forces that inform and shape Australian governance and public policy? The Public Policy major will help you understand various issues and controversies within modern governance – particularly those that relate to institutions and processes of public policy. Courses cover a broad range of topics including Australian politics, Indigenous politics and policy, political communication, the politics of global development, and democracy. In your final year, you can also choose to complete an internship with institutions like the Australian Federal Parliament, Queensland Parliament, or a number of national and international government and non-government agencies.
