    Career Outcomes

Our previous graduates have gone onto work for companies such as CAN Automation Pty Ltd, HYDAC: Mobile & Industrial Hydraulics Australia and Jetstar Airways.

RMIT graduates will be sought both in Australia and overseas. While there has been some decline in traditional manufacturing in Australia, there is steady employment in engineering in the construction, infrastructure, mining and building services sectors. The food industry sector and automated production are seen as growth areas of employment for robotics and mechatronics engineers.

The demand for engineers with expertise in advanced manufacturing and mechatronics technologies is at the cusp of exponential growth. You'll be able to work in mechanical systems design, advanced manufacturing, mechatronics, and micro and nano-technology.

    Professional recognition and accreditation

The Master of Engineering (Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering) is not accredited, although it has been developed to align with the Engineers Australia accreditation framework.

Engineers Australia is the professional body responsible for the accreditation of higher education programs that prepare students to practice as professional engineers.

Graduates of the Master of Engineering (Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering) may be eligible to apply for membership of Engineers Australia.
