The Bachelor of Fine Arts (Degree with Honours) will provide you with practice-led research skills as you devise, define and manage a major art project. The course introduces research training and develops your capacity to produce a creative-work major project. You will be on a direct pathway to a masters research degree, or work as a professional practicing artist in your chosen field.

You can choose from one of the following specialisations:

• Animation
• Dance
• Film and Television
• Music Theatre
• Production
• Screenwriting
• Social Practice and Community Engagement
• Theatre
• Visual Art

In order to be considered for entry, applicants must have completed:

• within the last 5 years, a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a weighted average mark of at least H2B (70%), or equivalent, with a major relevant to the discipline stream within the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Degree with Honours) that they seek to enter;

• one or more of an audition, test, interview, workshop, portfolio or folio presentation, as prescribed by the Academic Board for the discipline stream that they seek to enter. Please follow the Entry Requirements as described for your specialization:

Meeting these requirements does not guarantee selection.

In ranking applications, the Selection Committee will consider:

• prior academic performance, and
• performance in any required audition, test, interview, workshop, portfolio or folio presentation, and
• the availability of supervision and resources in suitable areas. Quotas may be applied to the degree as a whole or to individual discipline streams.
