The Master of TESOL is suitable for a wide range of professionals, educators or prospective educators working in English language teaching in international or local contexts, and leads to a postgraduate qualification in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

The Master of TESOL helps you understand the connections between theory and practice, and the importance of developing strong principles of practice in English language teaching and learning. You will develop an expert understanding of the core principles of language teaching and learning.

Entry level 1 - 2 years

An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average.

Entry level 2 - 1.5 years

• An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average and a minimum of two years of full time equivalent relevant professional experience; OR
• An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline with at least a credit (60%) average; OR
• A four-year Australian undergraduate honours degree or an Australiangraduate certificate or an Australian graduate diploma (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average; OR
• An Australian master's degree (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average.

Entry level 3 - 1 years

• An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline with at least a credit (60%) average and a minimum of two years of full time equivalent relevant professional experience; OR
• A four-year Australian undergraduate honours degree or an Australian graduate certificate or an Australian graduate diploma (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average and a minimum of two years of full time equivalent relevant professional experience; OR
• A four-year Australian undergraduate honours degree or an Australian graduate certificate or an Australian graduate diploma (or equivalent) in a related discipline with at least a credit (60%) average; OR
• An Australian master's degree (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average and a minimum of two years of full time equivalent relevant professional experience; OR
• An Australian master's degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline with at least a credit (60%) average degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline with at least a credit (60%) average.
