The management of risk is an evolving discipline that builds on current knowledge in a diverse range of activities. The risk management specialisation focuses on operational and financial risk in today's commercial world. It provides extended skills in the strategic and process applications of risk management and prepares for the increasingly complex risk management issues faced in many areas of business and government. It prepares graduates for roles that are required to address business, insurance and financial risk. The range of units undertaken will greatly assist those seeking employment in managerial positions where risk management is an expanding field of practice.

Entry level 1 - 2 years full-time

• An Australian bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification, or an approved pathway and achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 or an equivalent GPA as determined by the faculty. Applicants will be ranked and selected based on their entire academic record.

Entry level 2 - 1.5 years full-time

• An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of at least 60, or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent; OR
• A four-year Australian undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent) with a WAM of at least 60, or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent.

Entry level 3 - 1 year full-time

• An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of at least 60 in both qualifications, or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent; OR
• An Australian undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a WAM of at least 60, or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent.
