    If you're looking to develop your career in economics or econometrics this course provides you with analytical and technical skills you need for the profession, as well as a solid grounding in commerce. The course will enable you to build your knowledge in one of the following specialisations: Applied Econometrics; Applied Economics and Econometrics or Business Economics.

    You will engage in a comprehensive theoretical and practical curriculum across your chosen field and develop high-level expertise in applied economic and econometric tools.

    Learn the latest techniques regarding statistical analysis and econometric modelling, and apply  them to data analysis in business, economics  and finance. You’ll build your numerical skills  using a range of econometric techniques – time  series analysis, applied econometrics, financial  econometrics, macro-econometrics and micro- econometrics – and use your skills to design  and implement econometric projects in  different sectors.

    Applicants must have achieved a result of at least 70% (or equivalent) in a first year undergraduate statistics course.

    Entry level 1 – 2 years

    • An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification), with a preferred Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 or an equivalent GPA as determined by the faculty. Applicants will be ranked and selected based on their entire academic record.

    Entry level 2 – 1.5 years

    • An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) in a cognate discipline with at least a credit (65%) average, or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent; OR
    • An Australian undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent qualification) in a cognate discipline with at least a credit (65%) average in both qualifications, or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent; OR
    • A four-year Australian undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent qualification) with at least a credit (65%) average, or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent.

    Entry level 3 – 1 years full-time

    • An Australian undergraduate honours degree (or equivalent qualification) in a cognate discipline with at least a credit (65%) average, or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent.
