The Graduate Diploma of Applied Data Analytics is a 1 year full-time (or equivalent part-time) degree that provides students with:

• Exposure to best practice in data analytics.
• Cutting edge courses in areas of relevance to data analytics practitioners.
• An opportunity to deepen knowledge in one of the three areas of computation, statistics, or social science.
• Professional development for practicing data analytics professionals.
• The opportunity to undertake research of professional relevance. 

The program will be taught in intensive blended mode with students expected to be enrolled part-time.

Learning Outcomes

1. Apply computing, statistical, and social science principles to solve data analytics problems;
2. Apply data analytics methods and techniques to decision making about policy, business and service delivery;
3. Contribute as an effective member to the performance of a data analytics workplace;
4. Demonstrate basic technical expertise in computing, statistics, and social science as relevant to data analytics.
5. Be able to work to specification and according to a deadline, document tasks undertaken, and report outcomes to a third party.
6. Be capable of independent learning with some ability to evaluate critically work undertake.

At a minimum, all applicants must meet program-specific academic/non-academic requirements, and English language requirements. Admission to ANU programs is on a competitive basis. Therefore, meeting all admission requirements does not automatically guarantee entry.

A Bachelor degree with Honours or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 4.0/7.0. Or a Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 4.0/7.0, with at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Or a Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 5.0/7.0.

In line with the University's admissions policy and strategic plan, an assessment for admission may include competitively ranking applicants on the basis of specific academic achievement, English language proficiency and diversity factors.

• TOEFL: Paper-based score: 570 (min. 4.5 in TWE). Internet-based score: 80 (min. 20 reading and writing, 18 in speaking and listening
• IELTS Academic:  6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest)
• PTE Academic: 64 overall (min. 55 in each of the communicative skills)

• Cambridge CAE: 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest)
