The course is designed to foster students’ individual development and allow them to develop research and analytical skills that can be applied to a range of situations. Arts students learn how to gather, synthesise and assess information, how to conceptualise issues and how to express themselves effectively, both orally and in writing. Students have the opportunity to work with other students and academic staff from a range of disciplines on a project responding to one of the major social, cultural and economic challenges of the 21st century.
Explore the contemporary and historical experience of Indigenous Australians and investigate a range of issues faced by Indigenous cultures throughout the world.
Successful completion of a Year 12 qualification undertaken in Australia, such as the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), International Baccalaureate or interstate Year 12 equivalent. Non-Year 12 qualifications, Foundation Year and qualifications undertaken overseas will not be accepted.
Only students applying through VTAC will be considered for admission directly into this course. Other international students may apply to transfer to this course from the Bachelor of Arts if they are successful in gaining a professional placement.
